Our home was built in 2006 and it is located in a semi-detached house in a peaceful neighborhood in Kilpisjärvi. It is within a short walk of the village services (grocery store, restaurants, service station, Kilpisjärvi tourist info) and at nature's doorstep, within easy access to hiking trails. 

About us

We are Martti and Sinikka and we live permanently in our Kilpisjärvi home with our small team of Siberian huskies. When we offer our home for short term rentals we live in a camping car in the front yard or we are out on camping trips. Our huskies are Arctic dogs who live in the kennel in our fenced yard while we stay at home but when we leave the village the dogs accompany us. If we are here when you stay in our home, you are welcome to get acquainted with our huskies. They are trained sleddogs for our own and our visitors' enjoyment during the snow season.

Our huskies are the Arctic kind who prefer to live outdoors but since they frequently visit the house, our home is not suitable for persons who are allergic to dogs. We regret but we cannot accept other dogs in our home as our own are rather jealous! 

Our home in Kilpisjärvi

Our home is an apartment in a semi-detached house, with a living area of 60 m2. It consists of a spacious living room and an open kitchen, one bedroom, a sauna with washroom and wc, and an outdoor terrace. The living area windows offer a partial view to Lake Kilpisjärvi and the Swedish coastline with its mountain range.

Prices and bookings

We rent our home for private parties of max. 4 persons. 

The rental price during spring and summer 2023 is € 130 for the first night. Additional nights à € 100 / night.

The rental price includes accommodations, bed & bath linen and departure day cleaning for 1 - 2 persons. Additional persons à € 15. Please note that the minimum stay normally required is 1 night, but during the busiest times 3-4 nights.
