River Könkämäeno, which has its source in Lake Kilpisjärvi and forms the border between Finland and Sweden, is on the bucket list of many seasoned fishermen and fisherwomen. Join us for a rafting and fishing trip in these renowned fishing waters in Arctic Lapland!
Fishing trip in the borderland of Finland and Sweden
The starting point is 15 km south of the village of Kilpisjärvi. Floating down the river in a rubber raft allows you to explore the best fishing spots. There are rapids to paddle through and backwaters to be crossed with the aid of an outboard engine.
Arctic grayling is the main catch you can expect when fishing on River Könkämäeno.
During a break your guide prepares campfire coffee. Bring your own picnic meal or book it from us.
Prices and inclusions of a private fishing and rafting trip
You can book this tour for a private party of 1 - 4 persons. These trips are carried out from mid-July until end of August, weather conditions allowing. The price for one person is € 620. Additional persons are charged à 100 € each.
You can book a packed lunch (sandwich, campfire sausage, pastry, berry juice) at the supplemental cost of € 20 / person.
Kindly note that fishing equipment and permits are not included in the price. Bring your own equipment and obtain the fishing permit in advance. We'll assist you with instructions and also with transportation if you don't have a car at your disposal.
