Meet the Kilpisjärvi Husky Team
The dog sledding season ends in May when the snow season is over, but our Siberian huskies love to meet people, get out and explore all year round. Join us for a summer or early fall hike!
Leisurely scenic hike with Siberian huskies in Kilpisjärvi
In summer and early fall you can join us for an easy scenic hike in the company of our friendly pet huskies.
When walking with a husky you'll be equipped with a belt to which the dog is attached by a leash. Kindly note that Siberians are highly energetic and inquisitive dogs and walking with them can be energy consuming.
The length of the trek is approximately 3,5 km (2 miles) and midway a break is made on the shore of Lake Tsahkal to enjoy a beverage and give the huskies a snack.
Our huskies love attention and meeting new people. This is more than a tour - it's making friends!
Husky hikes are carried out from the middle of July until the end of autumn foliage in September. The duration of the hike is 2 hours and max. 4 persons can participate at a time.
