How to reach Kilpisjärvi
By flight: The nearest airports are in Kittilä in Finland (280 km / 174 miles) and in Tromso in Norway (170 km / 106 miles). The airport in Enontekiö is currently served by charter flights only. Regularly scheduled airport taxi is available from Kittilä to Kilpisjärvi three times a week. Please contact Kilpistaxi for timetables and fares, phone +358 40 534 4741 or by e-mail info@kilpistaxi.fi. At other times Kilpistaxi offers private transfers from Kittilä Airport as well as from Tromso Airport.
By bus from Finland: A daily bus connection from Rovaniemi to Kilpisjärvi, via Kittilä and Muonio. Please check the timetalbes and fares at Matkahuolto
By bus from Norway: The Arctic Route offers a seasonal bus connection between Tromso in Norway and Rovaniemi in Finland, with a stop in Kilpisjärvi.
By car: Kilpisjärvi is located along the Northern Lights Route, on highway 21.
